WORK
We have a mixed organic farm, an organic vegetable and fruit garden, a weavery, a creamery, wood-workshop, paper-making workshop and a bakery. Our produce; cheeses, dairy products, meat, bread and craft products are sold widely and have a high reputation. Working, often as part of a team, caring for the land and the animals, in our workshops and in our houses, is an important aspect of our life.

Work that can serve the wider world is very important for the sense of self-worth and purpose it brings to our lives.

No one who is a member of the community receives wages. The community aims to create an environment where individuals of differing needs and abilities can live and work together to create an environment to which each can make a meaningful contribution and have his/her inner and outer needs met.

SOCIAL/CULTURAL/COMMUNITY LIFE
The social and cultural life of the community is rich and challenging;
The festivals of the year, the unfolding seasons, our lives together are opportunities for celebration. Plays, music, ceilidhs, harvest meals, gatherings, artistic and craft activity and exploration, individual and group creativity all go to enhance the quality of our life and the life of the community.
